Widespread in the Congo River basin; known from the marine lower Congo (Ref. 41594), Pool Malebo (Ref. 41585), middle Congo River (Ref. 1879, 4910), Kasai (Ref. 7431), Sankuru (Ref. 1880, 13455), Lukenie (Ref. 127185), lakes Mai Ndombe (Ref. 1879) and Tumba (Ref. 41580), the Ruki (Ref. 41580, 46861, 93897), Ubangi (Ref. 45441), Itimbiri, Aruwimi, Lindi-Tshopo (Ref. 106290), Wagenia Falls (Ref. 106245) and Lualaba (Ref. 51906).
